Welcome

Bio energy, a green source of energy has evolved towards the beginning of the 21st century and is still in the research side as all possibilities are not explored to the maximum. There are various sources as well as forms of bio energy. Sources includes air, water and material such as wind energy (air), hydro plants (water) and material includes cow dung, agriculture residues, forest residues and others.  Gas form of energy is the most popular; however the liquid and solid forms are still not adequate in supply as well as knowledge.

DESIGNING FOR
SOCIAL IMPACT

With the growing concern of drying of fossil fuel and limited supply of mine generated coal, there is a need for an alternative.
Bio coal is a solid form of bio energy, which has been gaining significant market in the foreign nations. However, it is still in the nascent stage in India due to limited supplies and inadequate marketing. With heating capacity ranging from 3500-4750 Kcal, bio coal will serve as a substitute to black coal. Since it is manufactured with biomass as its raw material and pressing as the process, it is known as biomass briquetting.

Biomass Briquetting is the process of converting low bulk density biomass into high density and energy concentrated fuel briquettes. Biomass Briquetting plants are of various sizes which converts biomass into solid fuels. Briquettes are ready substitute of Coal/wood in industrial boiler and brick kiln for thermal application

DESIGNING

Millions of tones of residues from agriculture as well as forestry goes as a waste on annual basis and is growing with growth in agriculture. The same can be used for burning and hence produce heat- The base foundation of a source of energy. If the same waste can rather become a material to contribute to the economy, the growth story is bound to happen.

INSPIRATION
WORK

There is a worldwide acceptance of briquettes/ white coal and growing demand. Most advanced countries
today are adapting the concepts of preserving and also retaining their natural resources. Energy is the key factor in economic  development in most countries today. Adoption of briquetting technology will not only create a safe and hygienic way of disposing the waste, but also contributing towards a better environment.
